CITY OF LINCOLN
The city of Lincoln has over 2000 years of history and brings visitors from all over the world. The majestic towers of the Lincoln Cathedral are a focal point and can be seen from many miles away. The building of the Cathedral was started in 1072 but in the 12th century most of the Cathedral was destroyed by fire and earthquake, part of the original can still be seen as the west front mainly survived. The building as we see now is mainly from the 13th and 14th century.
